The BI Developer plays a key role in Business Intelligence team responsible for the growth and development of our clients expanding portfolio or reporting requirements. Candidate must be capable of delivering high-quality deliverables, on time, with careful attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions:

• Translates business requirements into technical specifications
• Creates report and dashboard wireframes, mockups and templates from business requirements
• Develops and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards using BI tool
• Helps maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Understands and query disparate database sources, including relational structures, dimensional data models and cubes. Able to create calculated elements in various languages and reporting views to support BI product development
• Identifies bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Creates and maintains ETL routines (between source systems and target BI environment)
• Tests and configures BI reports and visualizations for development, testing and deployment
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Works collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team
• Interfaces with and understands analytical reporting needs of business stakeholders
• Communicates effectively in written and verbal form on technical subject matter to non-technical
• business stakeholders
• Self manages to complete tasks on time and support other team members in product and platform development

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to write SQL queries
• Ability to learn Dundas BI
• .NET Core / C# / Integration of .NET platform with SQL Server Tables
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Experience documenting BI requirements and developing reports based on user requirements
• Knowledge of ETL best practices and dimensional modeling

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or related experience
• 1-2 years of experience with at least one major BI tool such as Dundas BI (preferred) or Tableau

Work Schedule:9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs
