Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Specialist, MRO provides support in the materials equipment storage department to maintain and optimize inventory of critical parts, instruments and consumable materials.
Compensation: $40. 00-$45.00/hr., based on experience.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe operating environment;
• Provides technical support to the site personnel on materials equipment;
• Maintain inventory of critical parts, instruments, and consumables materials
• Utilizes computerized inventory control system to identify, track and purchase materials
• Create and track purchase orders
• Perform physical counts of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to reports
• Distribute specialized tools and material upon request
• Assist technicians with identifying parts and materials
• Basic system maintenance
• Maximo knowledge necessary to set up and maintain parts.
• Work with customers (Labs, Process Maintenance, etc.) to make sure we stock the proper items.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM)
• Source MRO inventory and non-inventory spare parts
• Staged and processed parts necessary for work orders on all equipment
• Maintain inventory of spare parts for the equipment on site.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills

• Three plus years of sourcing experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably SAP
• Experience Microsoft, Excel, word and power point
• Working knowledge of basic industrial communication protocols
• Excellent verbal and written skill
• Experience interacting with customers from all levels of the company
• Basic troubleshooting skills preferred
• Background in life sciences a plus.

Education

• Associate’s degree in related field (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
