Asset presently manages a portfolio consisting of approximately 65,000 units and 140,00 beds. Vice President of Business Development

This position will be responsible for successfully identifying growth opportunities and closing engagements for the firm within assigned territories. Working with the EVP of Business Development and the operating team(s), the VP will coordinate efforts to achieve annual growth goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new management engagements for Asset Living in connection with annual business goals.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Company s platforms/services and their benefits to prospective clients.
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the company s goals and work to enhance its overall image and presence in the market.
  • Build strong partnerships within the marketplace and strengthen existing relationships with brokers, industry contacts, and vendors to increase potential referral sources
  • Develop and maintain the trust and confidence of clients; maintain close contact with potential and current clients to assist in creating both new and repeat business.
  • Research competitor and industry activity to stay informed of new entrants/management fee trends and other general information about multifamily, build-for-rent, and 55+ housing.
  • As part of the sales process, perform property shops and 3rd party database research to form actionable findings.
  • Organize responses to Request for Proposals and Request for Qualifications when requested by potential clients.
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs, and industry-hosted conferences and events
  • CRM administration accurate and timely documentation of sales activities, including lead generation, sales forecasting, win/loss analysis, etc
  • Communicate regularly with clients, industry professionals, Regional Supervisors, EVP of Business Development, and President/CEO.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree in business or a related field
  • Minimum three years in a sales and marketing role; preferably within the real estate industry
  • Work requires professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and work within strict deadlines while simultaneously managing several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Position may require after-hour events, overnight travel, and participation in due diligence
