The Vice President of Learning and Talent Development leads and focuses on building national learning solutions that produces leaders and develops managers across the organization. In this role you will have an opportunity to create, innovate and simplify learning solutions and programs with associates and residents in mind at all times. The position requires the ability to bring new ideas and diverse perspectives to develop actual content and corresponding materials to deliver the programs. Responsibilities
  • Lead a team that executes organizational and leadership development projects such as and not limited to job specific, technical training and leadership training programs.
  • Oversees all aspects of Training and Development including strategy, content creation and implementation, continuous improvement of enterprise-wide and role specific programs and evaluation of all training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify needs, design and develop solutions utilizing proven learning and talent development methods and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Bring forward strategic ideas for how L&TD can accomplish business goals and strengthen the development and performance of talent.
  • Unifies organizational and individual-specific priorities to ensure training programs and content are cohesive and aligned with both regional needs and business goals.
  • Plays a leading role in the development and documentation of the training and career path for key positions within the business for the purpose of talent management, career development and succession planning.
  • May develop training material, content and techniques for learning programs, with the collaboration as appropriate, or by engaging and directing external resources.
  • Monitors and drives accountability for training utilization and completion via LMS systems and all other learning platforms; work with leaders to develop KPIs.
  • Leads the organization in the adoption of the latest and most applicable trends in training and development tools, technology, applications and platforms while continuously maintaining and updating training programs to ensure relevancy and impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-10 years of experience that includes leading a Learning and Development function
  • Experience in the multi-family housing industry preferred
  • Systems implementation and management experience preferred
  • Experience in the multi-family housing industry preferred
