Launch Technical Support Engineer Job Description Job Description Summary Launch Technical Support Engineer Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) is hiring for Technical Support Engineers! Under the supervision of the RME Launch Manager, the role of the Launch Technical Support Engineer encompasses providing network specialized maintenance support to a network of automated fulfillment distribution centers. The Technical Support Engineer will specialize in facilitating and optimizing maintenance programs across new launch facilities. Coordinate and establish advanced robotics maintenance training programs, AS/AR maintenance training programs, and general facility maintenance programs to aide in the development of site-based managers and teams. Duties And Responsibilities

* Ensure work performed is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience

* Manage and book travel.

* Develop robotics maintenance techs, building maintenance techs, and electro mechanical techs at the site in conjunction with site network wide reliability standards.

* Support network’s robotics and material handling equipment maintenance programs and ensure proper practices are followed during equipment repairs. Provide support and training aligned with network standards with a primary focus for new launch sites.

* Participate in auditing site’s Maintenance Programs and complete solutions to close gaps

* Facilitate network wide auditing programs with a focus goal to understand the quality of training being provided

* Facilitate and document launch activities such as, IOQ, ORT, building handover, and auto mode

* Participate in weekly maintenance calls and effectively communicate progress through weekly status updates.

* Compile precision maintenance success stories and performance data for business reviews

* Oversee and own the success of up to 1 major launch area, including robotics, material handling systems, and general building maintenance.

* Develop training materials for sites specific maintenance programs

* Provide sites with technical training relating to drive analysis, precision maintenance, HVAC, FLS, and other advanced skill sets.

* Foster a culture of safety first within technical teams

* Routinely interact with contractors, vendors, and other 3rd party contractors.

* Create and manage improvement projects at sites, up to facilitating/overseeing aspects of new site launches.

* Assist sites as necessary with developing solutions to improve the safety of equipment and processes.

* Up to 80% travel requirement based on new site launches and network focuses

* Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 30 ft., with or without reasonable accommodation

* Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

* Candidate must live within reasonable distance from their nearest airport.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years’ experience on the Amazon account.

* 2+ years of experience in mechanical/reliability engineering and maintenance

* 0-1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role

* Experience with facilitating or developing training for advanced robotics, or general building maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

* Ability to lead others in a technical role and interact with all levels of management.

* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil)

* Completion of an applicable technical training program Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written

* Self-motivated and able to work independently or on a team

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and internet usage and navigation

* Experience in mechanical/design engineering

* Experience in predictive maintenance or using precision maintenance practices and tools

* OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
