Systems Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supports daily essential tasks (incident remediation, service request fulfillment, onboarding / offboarding, etc. ).
- Creates documentation for procedures as requested.
- Supports and adhere to systems architecture / infrastructure best practices.
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain applications, servers, storage, and network solutions, both on premises and in the cloud.
- Supports the recommendations of Senior IT leadership.
- Proactively work to improve reliability, stability, and security of the cloud and on-premises environments.
- Provides on-call support / after-hours work as required.
- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Ability to work in a fully remote or hybrid working environment.
Required Education or Certifications:
- B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Technical certifications are a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- 2+ years in the role of a system engineer or equivalent experience
- 2+ years Office 365 and Azure AD administration (hybrid experience preferred)
- 2+ years experience designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure within cloud operating environments (Azure experience preferred)
- Experience with network design, support, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Hyper-V, etc.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive responsibility within IT
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization
- Experience with automation is a plus
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.
