The primary role of the Senior Consultant is to advise, mentor and/or implement location, portfolio, and workplace strategy programs for clients. They will conduct their own research, data gathering and analysis as well as oversee the work of the Analysts in the development of workplace change initiatives. The Senior Consultant will create project work plans and budgets, create proposal and project strategy, conduct, and oversee project work and will partner with senior management to present findings and recommendations to the client. The Senior Consultant will collaborate with team members from brain-storming ideas to presenting final client recommendations. They will also assist in some sales efforts as needed.Job Description
- Key Point of Contact for client projects from scope definition to delivery.
- Partners with client leadership, serving as a trusted advisor for workplace strategy initiatives.
- Works the full project lifecycle by conducting research and needs analysis, recommends, and resolves issues identified, executes against a project plan, and engages in reinforcement activities to ensure effective change has occurred.
- Draws upon functional best practices to develop and disseminate knowledge. Partners with client’s functional experts to develop and communicate change project hypotheses and conclusions.
- Develop and effectively communicate the structure for individual workplace strategy project presentations and materials. Oversee, and when necessary, participate, in the development of presentation materials and ensure the final product is succinct and delivers a powerful message.
- Review quantitative and qualitative analysis of data.
- Build effective client relationships to help the team meet or exceed client needs.
- Conduct on-site interviews when needed to collect data.
- Use superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively influence clients.
- Participate in team sales presentations.
- Participate actively in the research and development of white papers and industry reports.
- Look for and make recommendations to apply new industry tools/technology to current projects.
- Occasional travel, estimated at 25% at client needs dictate.
- Other job duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Urban Planning, Organization Development, Real Estate, Economics or related field preferred.
- 3-8 years consulting experience preferred, particularly within the fields of Location Strategy, Portfolio Strategy, Workplace Strategy, and/or Change Management.
- Track record of managing multiple client projects from scope definition to delivery.
- Development of client reports and work product synthesizing qualitative and analytical outputs.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge to effectively influence clients. Very comfortable speaking with and in front of clients. Superior writing skills that are sufficient to create professional presentations and reports.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and, relationship building skills.
- Technical skills in ESMI/Lightcast, ESRI, Alteryx, Revit or related technology is preferred, but not required.
