Qualifications

Position Summary:

The Sourcing Manager manages all aspects of assigned national vendor relationships, programs, contracts, reporting, and procurement strategies. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.This is a remote opportunity (except for CA, CO, NV, NY, and WA at this time).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees the research, recommendation, and ongoing management (including but not limited to: E-procurement) of all procurement and ancillary national vendor categories.

  • Evaluates sourcing procedures, market trends and costs and presents improvement strategies and recommendations to management for approval. Conducts market research, as well as creates risk estimates, cost estimates and forecasts.

  • Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role, supporting leadership with a data-backed strategy.

  • Develop a rolling 3-year category strategy that aligns with business objectives – strategy includes but is not limited to, supply market analysis, price/service level benchmarking, sourcing events (RFP/RFI), supplier negotiations, ongoing supplier relationship management. Deploying best in class processes in designing, driving, and executing RFIs and RFPs (simplifying outreach, bidding, and contracting).

  • Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality. Structures SLAs for vendor agreements in concert with business stakeholders and procurement policy. Identifying and pursuing new supplier opportunities when necessary.

  • Build and institutionalize market intelligence capabilities within categories of focus, regarding key markets, suppliers, and solutions to support strategy development.

  • Interfaces with internal business units to ensure compliance requirements and expectations are satisfactorily incorporated into all appropriate vendor contracts, as well as maintained throughout partnerships.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, and managing ancillary and procurement employees. Coach, mentor, and develop sourcing specialists and analysts, including providing career development planning and opportunities.

  • Prepares an assessment for each national vendor bi-annual meeting vendor performance, feedback information, concerns, etc. at least 15 days prior to meeting.

  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements appropriate software solutions.

  • Works under limited supervision and exercises sound judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions when accomplishing objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Limited travel as needed.

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a professional procurement function, in a leadership capacity

  • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to work with suppliers. Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.

  • Superb leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication

  • Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence senior leadership; strong presentation skills

  • Skills in project management and process mapping

  • Ability to exercise influence while working cross functionally and building relationships

  • Able to handle multiple priorities or projects in a fast-paced environment. Manages time effectively and focusses on high priority opportunities.

  • Exceptional financial, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Expert knowledge of contract negotiation, procurement practices and compliance

  • Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach.

  • Demonstrated experience employing good judgment and discretion with confidential information.

  • A valid driver s license may be required.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • A Master’s degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management.

  • Proficiency in sourcing software preferred.

  • 10 years of purchasing and supply chain management experience

  • Certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred (i.e., CPSM)

Work Schedule:8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.

This job generally operates in a professional office environment, but may also occasionally operate in an outdoor environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, occasionally move about the office, constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, communicate regularly and effectively with others, both written and verbally, and may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

This position requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
