Job Description Summary

Senior Level Engineering Manager who will join subject matter experts providing consulting and support to internal and external clients in the operation, maintenance and project support of building operations and engineering.
LOCATION: Atlanta-area preferred but open to St. Louis.

Job Description

This is a dynamic role that supports the transition teams with the set-up and establishment of assets and maintenance of equipment for new accounts. Assigned to account(s) to oversee engineering delivery and maintenance program. Guidance and oversight for the operation and maintenance of building operations and engineering service delivery

• Provides input on the recommended organization structure of engineering teams
• Provides leadership and direction on the set-up of new account CMMS and maintenance programs
• Develops operational documentation SOPs, EOPs and provides advice as a Technical Authority
• Directs and oversees the implementation of CMMS and/or work management systems
• Creation of multi-year asset plans
• Advises and oversees documentation of inspections, operating and maintenance, hazardous materials, permits and licensees, and all appropriate logs
• Provides technical advice on managing problems within the engineering services team
• Mentors, coaches, trains and guides other colleagues to deliver quality engineering infrastructure services

• Provides consultancy services for the support of MEP infrastructure
  • Conduct inspection tours of all equipment and systems
  • Make recommendation on improving the reliability of systems and equipment
  • Provide recommendations on operational efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency
  • Prepare written reports
  • Make presentations on findings

• Business Development support in the acquisition of new and expanding services for clients related to critical infrastructure

• Support for new and existing clients
  • Ability to present to executives
  • Develops staffing models
  • Develops KPI’s
• Assist in the transitioning of accounts
  • Asset inventory
  • Assist with hiring and training of on-site engineering team
  • Establish maintenance program

Position Requirements

Skills

• Excellent level of knowledge about MEP Systems Operation and Management procedures

• Excellent knowledge of
  • power distribution
  • UPS
  • Generators
  • HVAC
  • FLS
• Experience or ability in developing and documenting operational processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team based environment

• Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations
• Ability to interact with client and client employees, senior management, staff, and vendors as a professional at all times

• Travel Required

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (equivalent work experience with building operating infrastructure maintenance and operation can be substituted)
• Relevant Certification (CEM, CPM, PEng, etc. ).

Experience

• A minimum of seven years’ experience overseeing building systems
• Knowledge of CMMS
• Knowledge of asset management
• Knowledge of capital planning
• Knowledge of establishing and maintaining a facility maintenance program
