Job Description Summary

The Sr. Associate Project Manager (Sr. APM) will work alongside Project Managers and the Project Management Lead to coordinate and execute documentation for projects. They will be responsible for all aspects of documentation related to projects for the project teams to ensure that projects are executed in alignment with goals and deliverables defined by the client and adhering to established KPI’s.

Job Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for supporting Project Managers with the planning, monitoring, controlling contracts, financials and closing of project documentation

* Leads financial compliance and audits of all program projects to ensure funding requests, contracts (task orders), purchase orders, change orders and financial trackers are accurate and up to date at all times

* Prepares contracts, task orders and task order amendments for Project Manager review with General Contractors/Architects.

* Reviews all contracts and financial documents for accuracy, completion and compliance prior to submitting to client for execution

* Responsible for tracking project status and managing project issues and risks to include evaluation of progress/quality/costs and developing action plans to address gaps throughout project life cycle

* Implements project documentation governance aligned with company Key Performance Indicators and client requirements

* Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, complete, timely and coordinated

* Support client stakeholder and project team with accuracy and reporting for capital planning programs

* QA/QC all project documentation for project closeout and maintain compliance

* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or a related discipline preferred

* 2+ years of project or construction management experience

* Or any similar combination of education and experience

* Certification in PE, AIA, LEED, or CMAA preferred

* PMP certification or ability to pursue

* Understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines

* Strong knowledge of Google Suite (preferred)

* Proficiency with project management tools and accounting systems (Procore, Clarizen and SAP preferred)

* Willing/able to travel

* Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills

* Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high volume environment

* Detail oriented and thorough

* Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day

* May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner or standing desk

* Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type

* Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you

* Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing

* Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand

* Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
