Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect is a unique hybrid of business and technical consultant with the ability to operate as a digital tech lead focusing on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and will have a strong technical background in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a general understanding of Salesforce CRM. The successful candidate will be able to display thought leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-division, cross-functional teams from project inception to completion.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Marketing Cloud Architect is responsible for successful delivery of the CW Marketing vision on the Salesforce platform, partnering with the Marketing technology and business teams, as well as, the chosen delivery partner for the program.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Ability to create a solution based on client requirements (e.g. data flows, journeys, etc.)
- Lead inter-team meetings on the technical and business challenges related to customer Marketing Operations initiatives.
- Understand and map Business Processes & Challenges into our technical product suite, ensuring scalable, secure, comprehensive solution designs.
- Translate business and marketing requirements into well-designed solutions.
- Present high-level overviews of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities
- Identify project issues/risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve
- Create, manage and present an actionable BRD/FSD (Blueprint) that aligns a client’s business needs to that of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
- Collaborate with internal development team to determine best path for Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform implementation.
- Responsible for staying current with rapidly developing Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.
- Understand the ins and outs of complex technology environments and know how to optimize solutions for efficiency and simplicity.
- Responsible for the iteratively improving Marketing Cloud data model and architecture.
- Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users to utilize.
- Hand on experience on emails, push, SMS, audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation, building journeys, customer lifecycle programs.
- Cross-channel communications using all modules in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including but not limited to Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder and Contact Builder.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of SFMC, including data and system management and reporting
- Partner with strategy to develop, automate, and test behavioral email customer journeys, newsletters and multi-touch promotional campaigns across a wide range of online channels and targeted segments
- Build targeted audience segments based on email behavioral data and CRM attributes using Data Extensions and SQL Setup and deploy email campaigns including: automations, triggered emails, one-off user-initiated emails and A/B tests to improve campaign performance
- Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation and procedures, SLAs, programs and workflows
- Work with the Product and Development teams to understand the client s data and collaborate to identify opportunities for improvement in processing efficiencies.
Specific requirements will include:
- Experience in a technical leadership role designing, building, and executing complex automated marketing programs with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Understand out-of-the-box Marketing Cloud functionality, and have the ability to leverage and tailor these based on customer requirements.
Successful candidates are expected to be both a leader and an individual contributor.
- Candidates need to have 5+ years hands-on experience in Salesforce with 3+ years Marketing Cloud
- 1+ Marketing Cloud Certification
- Knowledge on Salesforce CRM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are integral for success.
- The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a high degree of personal accountability and able to work in ambiguous situations.
- Additionally, candidates should possess strong communication skills, especially in communicating complex concepts, as well as demonstrate creative and prescriptive thinking.
