Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for transporting, separating and baling recyclable materials such as wood, plastic, cardboard and trash. The individual must operate tugger, forklift and baling/compactor equipment. The individual will also be responsible for cleaning the immediate work area and occasionally cleaning other areas of the plant as directed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains a neat and orderly work area, including closets and cabinets
* Transports recyclable materials from disposal area to recycling area
* Wears personal protective equipment as required by site guidelines
* Responds to customer calls using radio equipment
* Must be able to operate heavy mobile equipment such as forklift and tugger
* Must be able to operate industrial equipment such as compactors and balers
* Must maintain positive customer and employee relationships
* Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective and efficient manner
* Performs daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas such as cleaning, power

washing, sweeping, etc.
* Will be required to perform cleaning duties in other areas of the plant such as

restrooms, floors, office areas, etc.
* Inspect dumpster areas for debris and ensure the scheduled pick-up has been made
* Must be able to take direction and work with minimal supervision and to function cooperatively as part of a team
* Report cleaning inadequacies

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others and exchange accurate information; move about the workplace; remain in a stationary position for 10% of the time; extend hands and arms in any direction; and bend.
The employee is also regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
Physical requirements: lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of equipment and supplies up 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. often, and up to 10 lbs. regularly.
