Job Description Summary

The Property/Lease Manager role is responsible for the lease administration of a portfolio of leases on behalf of our client who are a significant occupier of commercial real estate nationally.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Property/Lease Manager to join our high performing team working on site for a banking client in the CBD. This role is responsible for managing the client’s lease portfolio and providing day-to-day lease administration advice.

About the role

You will be responsible for managing the lease requirements on behalf of the client, providing management of leases, rent roll and payments, consulting with solicitors on lease documentation for new sites and renewals, workflow processing and approvals in relation to lease billings and reconciliations and conducting quality reviews across lease abstractions and lease interpretation.

Other responsibilities:

  • Support the Leasing Team leader in the delivery of lease property services
  • Prepare and complete Work in Progress and Debtors reports with applicable commentary
  • Review and approve lease obligation summary and send to relevant parties
  • Review and approve annual CPI and Fixed increases implemented
  • Liaise directly with the Transaction Management team to ensure alignment of data for lease abstraction, amendments, correspondence and exceptions, premises being exited or changes to current premises so that all database entries are complete and accurate always
  • Expenditure and Revenue rent roll management and monthly variance reporting
  • Revenue recharges – identify variances, rectify and approve workflow
  • Outgoings review and validation for lease sites
  • Follow up revenue tenants for outstanding payments and approve workflow
  • Review year end Outgoings reconciliation documentation
  • Interpret lease stipulations for specific client obligations

About you

  • Prior experience gained with commercial/retail lease administration
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong client focus and customer service mindset essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to act upon client instructions and to negotiate outcomes in line with client expectations
  • Good understanding of lease structures and provide financial and lease interpretation advice
  • Proactive and motivated team player
