Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist 

Addison, Texas 

A leading distributer of fluid power, motion control, pneumatic, and hydraulic products based in Texas is looking for a Procurement Specialist to assist in the execution of their procurement and inventory management process. The best candidates need to possess negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.  Communication skills are essential because this team member interacts with executives, suppliers, vendors, customer service representatives, and other associates on a daily basis. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Review and Issue of purchase orders 
  • Modify inventory master and location fields including: 
  1. Forecast Monthly Demand adjustments 
  1. Review and adjust minimum / maximum stock levels 
  1. Maintain accurate item list prices and replacement costs 
  1. Establish new item vendor records 
  • Develop and maintain exceptional vendor / stakeholder relations 
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues or concerns 
  • Maintain proper documentation through SharePoint, Enlighten, or other sources 
  • Selection of qualified alternate suppliers (when applicable) 
  • Coordinate with leads/managers, sales, and suppliers to manage product requirements 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the coordination of vendor returns 
  • Improve inventory levels across all locations through strategic sourcing 
  • Expedite purchase orders when needed 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Purchasing depart or supply chain management experience 
  • Knowledge of inventory management methods and techniques 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) 
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills – must be able to manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment 

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $40k-50k annual
