Portfolio Management Analyst

The Portfolio Management Analyst will work alongside Greystar’s senior leadership to launch a first-of-its-kind residential housing fund. The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing new investment opportunities, marketing the opportunity to prospective investors, modeling the fund’s portfolio, and additional ongoing portfolio management and investor reporting responsibilities as needed. This opportunity provides unique exposure across the Greystar platform and the opportunity to join an exciting new Company initiative. Strong analytical skills are required and prior investment banking and/or private equity experience preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes new investment opportunities for the fund.
  • Maintains and updates fund-level models used to evaluate current portfolio and produce fund-level return metrics.
  • Prepares materials and deliverables for presentations to internal committees, outside institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts financial analysis and prepare narrative for investment memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries.
  • Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related major, business or finance preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is required; investment banking experience is preferred.

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
