Job Description

Essential Functions:
The Cabana Attendant is responsible for monitoring the use of the cabana/clubhouse, a common area within the apartment community used by residents.

Ensures that the rules and regulations are followed.
Reports misuse of the facilities or contents to the business manager.
Relies on the intervention of the courtesy monitor in managing difficult situations.
Cleans spots from windows that can be easily reached.
Wipes off pool furniture
Removes debris from floors using a broom and dustpan or vacuum cleaner.
Monitors bathrooms for cleanliness. Wipes off sinks and toilets and damp mops floors if necessary.
May be responsible for picking up debris in the pool deck area and monitor use of pool deck furniture.
Other duties as assigned

Skills and Ability:
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to recognize an unsafe social situation and be able to address it with those at risk in order to avoid an accident or injury to a resident using the cabana.

Job Requirements

Physical Demands:
The job is light in physical demand. The employee may sit, stand and/or walk throughout the workday. The employee may bend at the waist to lift and carry up to 10 pounds for short distances and bend knees to lift objects from the floor and twist at the waist and move arms in a sweeping motion in order to clean floors. Use a step stool may be required to clean windows. Frequently extends hands or arms in any direction. Frequently seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands.

Working Conditions:
The work is conducted primarily outdoors with natural light and the noises of activities in the pool. Outdoor activities require exposure to seasonal weather and the associated temperature fluctuations.
