Job Description Summary

PMO and minor works manager to work on a high profile government client based in Sydney.

Job Description

Cushman & Wakefield delivers minor project works and the management of programs of works to support operational objectives. This extends from new capital works programs to refurbishment or refit of existing premises; or in respect to managing major and minor maintenance programs for their existing facilities. The role is also accountable for the financial management of the program of works.

This role will be responsible for the project co-ordination of minor capital works across PDNSW portfolio of owned and leased commercial, retail, industrial, development and special use assets. You will work within the client capital works team with the delivery of projects from the concept phase through to project closeout.

You will work closely with client stakeholders and be accountable for excellence in relationship management. You will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with project finances for internal and external project managers, subcontractors and third-party suppliers. You will ensure that all related finance guidelines requirements are met at all times in .

This role is located in C&W’s Sydney office but may require periodic travel throughout NSW to visit client locations.

About the role:

  • Manage Capital Works projects/ programs of work within agreed delegations
  • Project Scope development
  • Project financial management
  • Client relationship management
  • Project contract reporting and communication
  • Provide advice and support to the Client and facilitate and develop a working relationship to ensure the service is delivered in a collaborative manner
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Deliver activities and projects within client expectations (e.g. time, quality, cost)
  • Carry out project management tasks in line with clients’ project requirements
  • Manage scope changes and time utilisation
  • Contribute to Internal and client reporting
  • Contribute to the achievement of contractual KPIs and Minimum Performance Standards
  • To provide excellence in project management services and manage the delivery of projects
  • Timely and accurate financial management of managed projects.
  • Proactively review workplace systems / processes to innovate and continuously improve the customer journey and workplace experience
  • Performs other duties as requested by your direct manager
  • Provides relief services during leave and overload periods

About You:

  • Project Management experience or background with minimum 3 year in a Real Estate setting
  • A sound understanding of the construction and fit out /refurbishment sectors; and
  • A professional network with industry
  • Degree level qualification in building surveying, project management or equivalent construction related degree;
  • Achieved or working towards industry recognised professional qualification, such as RICS, COIB, AIPM, PMP or similar;
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
