Weidner Apartment Homes is now hiring for a Painter to work at one our properties in Minneapolis! If you have experience working as a Painter, doing both interior and exterior painting, enjoy working with a team and are looking for a fun, fast-paced work environment look no further we have the job for you!

While this job description is complete, some responsibilities may not be specifically addressed. As Painter, you are responsible for painting interior and exterior areas of the community. This role will be responsible for consistently delivering high quality made ready homes for move-in. A successful Painter is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:- Responsible for painting interior of homes and exterior of building, using the correct product and time efficiency as directed by management
- Perform detailed work with carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting, etc
- Respond to all service requests related to cosmetic painting repairs for occupied units in a timely manner
- Participate in property improvements and preventive maintenance scheduled tasks, promptly
- Ability to distinguish when full-paint or touch-up paint is needed, as well as knowledge and ability to identify correct paint sheen and color
- Ensure market ready apartments, common areas and amenities are clean and maintained daily to Weidner s quality standards
- Accompany vendors to vacant and/or occupied units, as needed
- Monitor painting supplies and maintain equipment
- Ensure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
- Inspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediately
- 1-2 years painting and drywall experience required
- Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
- Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn and contribute on a daily basis
- Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently
- Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
- Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- US driver s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times
