Network Analyst
Overview:
Work with a great team that ensures the operations of AMLI Residential’s IT network and voice systems as our new Network Analyst. Hybrid office/home schedule. Our office is conveniently located in downtown Chicago, close to all public transportation.
As the Network Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical functional areas, including network infrastructure, data communications, security, and telecommunications systems. You will also monitor, diagnose and resolve network and hardware problems.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Project Management
- Participate in various network and telecommunications related projects, owning and executing smaller projects
Operations
- Support SD-WAN environment: Talari, MPLS, broadband, 4G, etc.
- Maintain and support corporate and remote Cisco routers and switches
- Support edge network security: Firewalls (Sophos), DMZ, VPN, content filtering, IPS, etc.
- Support and administer voice platform: Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Unity, etc.
- Maintain and support telecom circuits: MPLS, SIP, broadband, 4G, PRI, POTS, etc.
- Participate in IT network and voice upgrade initiatives
- Follow documented standards and procedures for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining network and telecommunications equipment.
- Partner with internal customers on company-wide IT initiatives
- Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and take responsibility for seeing these issues through resolution
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as required for all network and technical issues relating to network, voice, and security administration
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required, BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Networking, or IT strongly desired.
Minimum 1 year of experience in supporting and troubleshooting business systems, networks (LAN/WAN), voice/telecom installations, server/email systems, and Microsoft applications. Working knowledge of basic Cisco network management and administration. Network+, CCNA, or comparable certification preferred.
Must be flexible for periodic travel associated with network infrastructure upgrades and installations – up to 30% travel required and available to work off-hours and weekends as needed to perform maintenance and upgrades.
