Maintenance & Operations Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performs hands-on repairs/maintenance work. Ensures service requests and repairs are made correctly and timely.
- Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, executes the preventive maintenance program that minimizes emergency repairs and service repairs; inspects grounds, buildings, and other property features to minimize liability concerns.
- Maintains curb appeal and cleanliness of the property at all times and understands the importance of the retention of residents.
- Maintains positive customer relations and contributes to the positive feedback toward the property.
- Completes all necessary training as required for the position.
- Responsibilities could extend to the general cleaning of the units to include the appliances, bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, cleaning counter tops, and all other cleaning services deemed appropriate.
- Performs work necessary to make the units/rooms ready for occupancy.
- Handles all cleaning equipment/furnishings and tools including but not limited to hand tools, paint equipment, ladders, and cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaning equipment, blowers and hoses.
- Makes note of any equipment which might need repair.
- Provides services in a safe and efficient manner.
- May be required to accept overtime if need exists.
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
