Shift Schedule: M-F (Day Shift)
Job Description
Participate in preventative and corrective maintenance as well as general maintenance of electrical, lighting, HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, and fire alarm systems.
Maintain daily work orders/records of equipment, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities on all electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and service equipment with multiple voltages up to and including 480 volts.
Ability to work from instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical publications, and instructional bulletins.
Maintain continuous inventory of electrical equipment and supplies.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E code.
Identify and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment, using suitable testing instruments.
Examines and tests elements of electrical systems to locate obvious faults, such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections, and worn motor brushes.
Installs conduit, wire, receptacles, switches, fixtures, etc. for new/remodel projects.
Conduct routine building inspections to assess needs relating to electrical work and maintenance.
Responsible for general maintenance in assigned buildings. May assist others if needed.
Conducts routine maintenance, testing and inspections of backup power sources such as generators, batteries, and ups.
Assist with overseeing electrical work performed by outside electrical contractors.
Available to respond to emergency calls and participate in the on-call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum five years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
Licensed Journeyman Electrician required
High school graduate or GED or equivalent vocational training school.
