Legal Services Specialist
The Legal Services Specialist will be focused on Broker Compliance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Liaise with (1) Property Operations, (2) Regional Associates, (3) Corporate Departments, (4) Brokers, and (5) outside counsel on broker compliance needs.
- Analysis of state broker requirements in each state provided by broker and/or local counsel.
- Identify issues and risks that need to be appropriately prioritized and shared with leadership and provide guidance.
- Work with Property Accounting/Treasury Department on Broker Trust Account requirements to ensure they have current requirements.
- Facilitate and monitor progress on each state’s strategy for broker compliance.
- Collaborate with support groups and regional teams to develop standards and creating resources to support broker compliance.
- Provide subject matter expertise on existing and newly issued rules and regulations and communicate guidance to appropriate individuals.
- Ensure effective communication with HUD/FHEO and clients, and quickly implement change management procedures to issues that arise.
- Assist as needed in responding to broker compliance inquires.
- Provide reporting on state action plans, overall state broker compliance and other regular reporting as needed.
- Ensure adequate compliance documentation is maintained.
- Performs other projects as requested to support Greystar’s Legal Services team.
- Participate in events (community, diversity, etc.) on behalf of the organization and providing appropriate representation.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $65,000
Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for an annual performance bonus that is based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
