Join our inhouse legal team and provide high quality support and advice in the role of Legal Counsel.

Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel and as a critical member of the Australian inhouse legal team you will provide legal support to the Owner and Occupier Services business line, which is comprised of the Facilities Management, Asset Services and Project & Development Services businesses of Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in property services.

Your Impact:

• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to service agreements, consultancy agreements and construction contracts.
• Assist with tenders for building projects, major and minor works, including reviewing and assisting with bid opportunities.
• Perform a governance role for the projects business to help drive compliance and risk mitigation.
• Provide legal advice and undertake research in relation to legal aspects of commercial, regulatory and compliance matters, as well as providing assistance with operational and strategic matters, from a legal perspective.

About You:

Like our best performers, you will be a driven and energetic professional, with strong verbal and written communication skills. You’re a self- starter and love to roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running. You have the ability to interpret /analyse complex legislation, contractual documentation and other business documents and are commercially astute, possessing strong analytical and research skills. You are able to manage complex legal/commercial issues, with the capability of identifying and analysing the associated commercial and risk implications. You’re a born negotiator and unquestionably a people person with the ability to build strong relationships with your stakeholders and achieve outstanding outcomes.

What you will also bring:

• Possess a Law degree, admitted to practice law in NSW with at least 3-7 years PAE
• Ideally you will have demonstrated experience with contract drafting and negotiation, and some knowledge of property or construction law would be well regarded but is not essential.
