Leave Administrator

Administer the Company’s Leave of Absence programs for all team members in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations and Company policy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Effectively interpret all leave requests to determine leave type and eligibility. Process and administer all leave of absence requests and ensure all leave notices are documented and communicated to team members within required timeframes set forth by the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), other state and local laws and regulations and Company policy.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day leave process by managing workflow, including tracking all leave of absences, identifying discrepancies, obtaining necessary approvals and/or following-up on outstanding issues. Secure additional documentation as needed.
  • Keep abreast of all Federal and state laws and regulations that affect the Company’s Leave of Absence policies. Review and recommend revisions to Company leave policy to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide customer service and promote customer satisfaction by responding to team member questions, concerns, issues, and requests, researching and resolving problems or errors, and following up to communicate resolutions.
  • Complete various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 3-5 years experience in Multi-state leaves, preferably including California, Massachusetts, and Washington state.
  • AbsenceSoft software experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management in a support capacity, act as first point of contact for internal staff and external visitors to the Company, and answer questions related to department operational policies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to maintain records of information and develop and provide information for manager’s use.
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions in order to review and complete various financial, administrative, and legal documents.
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of administrative, secretarial, or office support techniques demonstrating capability of providing administrative and clerical support related to human resources administration.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and priorities and detail orientation in order to produce and manage accurate and complete files, documents, and sensitive data.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA laws for all states, HIPPA, STD, benefit enrollment, Americans with Disabilities, and all federal and state leave laws or demonstrated ability to learn.

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
