Assist the RFM in performing needed duties. This will be a working supervisor position. Employee will still be expected to perform duties of the maint technicians, but will dedicate time during the week to assist the RFM w/ other responsibilities as needed. SALARY RANGE: $33/hour – $36/hour (based on experience)
LOCATION: Ontario, CA
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday day shift **Regular Over Time and weekend work required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse production environment preferred
Electrical and HVAC experience and certification preferred
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
5-8 years of maintenance experience preferred. Prefer primary experience to be in electrical field. Hydraulics and Pneumatics, as well as strong Interpersonal Communication skills. Additional experience:
Repairing powered material handling equipment including powered and non-powered conveyer, vertical lift and lift tables.
Developing or administering a Preventive Maintenance program.
Drafting- AutoCAD – preferred
Light Carpentry
Fabrication
EDUCATION:
High School Required
Technical Degree with 2 or more years of college preferred
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect Weekly Reports from the Maintenance Techs in the Region. Review the reports, compile them into a Regional Weekly Report, and send to RFM for review. Weekly reports to contain any non-routine work, Non-Projects Team WOM/PSD work that is going on, Business Interruptions, over 5k repairs, Position Vacancies, and any other info that RE&F should be aware of.
In the absence of the RFM, act as the Manager for the region. Examples of times when this would occur include sick days, vacation, bereavement, FMLA, etc.
With approval from manager, visit the sites in the region regularly. The frequency of the site visits will fluctuate, but candidate must be able/willing to visit each of the sites once every 6 weeks. The purpose of the facility site visits is to establish a good working relationship w/ the site maintenance techs, Toyota management, and inspect the buildings and grounds to ensure we are providing Toyota w/ the level of service expected.
Lead the weekly safety meetings and encourage the techs in the region to participate in the discussion.
Conduct at least one CWalk monthly.
Assist the RFM in recruiting and new hire orientation of technicians that are added to the region.
Become familiar and proficient w/ the various accounting and financial systems that we use. Included but not limited to JD Edwards E1, Procure Plus, Concur, DTZ Central, Insight, Excel, Kronos etc.
Become familiar and proficient w/ other software that we use to do business including Maximo, DataSplice, Ulearn, Utrac2, GoToMeeting, Office 365, Purely HR, Xcelerate, etc.
Encourage maintenance techs to use the iPad and assist them w/ technical problems when possible. If unable to fix the problem, contact Technical Team for assistance.
Collect PSDs from techs for out-of-scope work. Review and revise the PSD so it is ready to submit to the customer. Forward to RFM for final review
REQUIREMENTS:
Significant experience will be required in this role. Certifications, professional’s knowledge, skill, and experience is preferred. Organizations offering certifications include the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), the International Maintenance Institute (IMI) and the National Apartment Association (NAA).
All certifications are based on achieving a qualifying score on an examination; other requirements differ per the certification. For example, individuals must have at least a high school or equivalent diploma plus work experience to be eligible to test for the IMI’s certifications. The NAA requires at least one year of work experience and includes a series of training courses before candidates can test for their certification.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Language and Writing Skills: Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, machine drawings, and blueprints. Ability to use Microsoft applications to communicate via e-mail, perform simple correspondence and complete company documents accurately
Electrical Skills: Must be proficient in the utilization of electrical test equipment, such as Multi Meters, Amp Meters, and all other electrical equipment pertaining to electrical analysis
Mechanical Ability: Knowledge and understanding of basic tools and proper usage of said tools
Fabrication Ability: Must have design and mechanical engineering knowledge
Time management skills and the ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you must balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. In addition, you must work to continuously improve in all areas. The motivation of the Maintenance and Janitorial associates is also an important job task.
Monitors and maintains work areas and processes to ensure adherence to all safety and quality policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements in these areas. Performs daily monitoring, repair, preventative maintenance activities on critical systems and facility equipment. Also, trouble shoots oversee the installation modernizes new and existing systems including, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Documents repairs adjustments, and replacement of equipment and /or components per standards. May also provide input and corrections to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in the evaluation of new equipment or technology.
Resolves associate production challenges through problem resolution. Trains production associates ensuring ability to meet established performance levels.
Maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organization. Identifies, prioritizes and assists in resolving operational challenges. A T/L must complete required daily reports and other administrative duties as directed by supervisor. Under direction of Supervisor, manages operational priorities. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
