Job Description Summary:

The Lead Hand is a position within the line of operations of C&W Services account. The position is responsible for performing the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Basic responsibilities may include any combination of the following tasks, stripping, waxing, moving/lifting furniture, heavy duty cleaning, carpet extraction, floor scrubbing, trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping, any other task required by management.
The Lead Hand works as part of a small crew answering to a supervisor. Specific responsibilities for each lead hand will be determined by experience, Account Manager/Supervisor discretion, and cleaner capabilities. Training will be provided.

Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed.

Maintains a neat and orderly work area, including janitorial closets and equipment.

Performs all cleaning assignments in accordance with the company’s approved procedures.

Maintains cleaning equipment in good working condition and notifies the Account Manager or Supervisor if repair or replacement is necessary.

Always works safely and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions existing in the work area.

Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed.

Meets all client and C&W Services quality expectations in assigned tasks.

Assists in orientation and training for new employees as directed.

Adheres to proper security procedures.

Notifies management about problems or opportunities which affect service to the client.

Performs other cleaning-related duties as required.

Performs other duties as assigned by management/supervisor/lead.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to clear a Criminal Background check.

Lead hand position responsibilities require no previous experience. Previous janitorial & lead hand experience is a plus.

Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.

Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent customer service, good organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

The lead hand must be able to lift and handle materials, tools, and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, overnights

Salary: $ 17.35 per hour (after 3 months’ probation $17.60)

Additional pay: Overtime pay

Benefits: Paid time off

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Sunday to Thursday
