Job Description Summary

This role embodies an exceptional customer service experience to the client/colleague/vendor in a corporate environment. Primary responsible for processing international shipments. Engage at the appropriate level to support contracted service lines to include mail/package sorting, delivery, and pickup internally. Accountable for support of most facilities services outside of the Mail Services The ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice is necessary. Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Job Description

• Process all outgoing international shipments assuring compliance by preparing all necessary documentation
• Provides timely and accurate processing of all mail through the mail services work areas. Requires knowledge of employee mail locations, mail drops and department locations. Counts and verifies the mailing of all critical mail. Delivers accountable mail (express overnight mail, certified/insured/registered mail, packages) and obtains required signatures.
• Provides delivery and pick-up of mail, both interoffice, non-metered and incoming/outgoing metered US mail certified, insured, registered, and express overnight mail throughout the building and ensures the confidentiality of all material processed.
• Ensures the mail services areas are organized and that all mail is properly and accurately stored at the end of each day.
• Has basic knowledge of overnight courier service computer systems to receive and deliver parcels.
• Opens mail and conducts research as needed to determine what department the mail belongs to and arranges to have all rerouted mail redelivered by the building’s mail room.
• Compliance with safe work practices, including company safety rules and practices. Timely completion of assigned safety training online courses.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by communicating with team members regarding priorities, project deadlines, and workload requirements. Works as part of a larger team to ensure all departmental work is performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to safely pickup and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances
• Overtime may be required on short notice.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or an equivalent of
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels.
• Basic knowledge of the postage machine and other mail services equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and capable of learning other related software systems.
