C&W are seeking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety professional to join our team, providing OHS oversight across a number of accounts throughout Victoria and Qld.

Job Description

The Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ) Advisor function is an integral part of our Integrated Facility Management business. The role provides HSSEQ support directly to our Facility Management (FM) teams and local business units by investigating significant incidents, assisting with risk assessment development, auditing contractor activities, providing critical health and safety advice and undertaking periodic HSSEQ reporting activities.

The purpose of this role is to support and continually improve a way of doing business that sets Cushman & Wakefield apart from the competition, promotes operational excellence and prevents harm to our people, to the environment and to our reputation. The HSSEQ Advisor will lead and manage HSSEQ systems, process, and programs to ensure that management frameworks are applied, developed, and adjusted to meet industry best practice standards and to ensure we maintain a safe working environment for our workers, our contractors, and our clients. This includes the maintenance of the integrated HSSEQ management system and any client focused health, safety, security, and environmental activities.

Some of the key activities the role can expect to deliver include, inter alia;

• Maintain & review account specific Operational Hazard & Risk Registers
• Maintain & review account specific HSSEQ Management Plans
• Participate in and lead various auditing activities
• Regularly undertake HSSEQ Site Inspections/ Audits
• Identify, coordinate and deliver HSSEQ related training needs for FM team members
• Regularly attend toolbox meetings at various team sites
• In consultation with FM teams, develop and review Risk Assessments
• Review Cushman & Wakefield and relevant contractor SWMS
• In consultation with FM teams, develop and or review Safe Work Operation Procedures or other HSSE related processes/documents.
• Manage and conduct incident investigations and generate recommendations for implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Allocate and track all actions and ensure close out within designated timeframes
• Review onsite processes for chemical management
• Complete regular HSSE reporting as required
• Provide HSSE related support and advice as required

This is a field-based role, requiring ongoing travel between account sites to work in with account FM teams. The role is Melbourne-based, however requires periodic regional travel, and travel to Queensland.

The HSSEQ Advisor reports into the National HSSEQ Manager – Australia, and forms part a broader Australia and New Zealand HSSEQ team. The role supports several client accounts and will regularly liaise with the following persons:

• Senior Account Director, IFM
• Account Manager, IFM
• Facility Management Team Members, IFM
• HSSEQ team members
• Health & Safety Committee Members
• Contractors and Suppliers
• Client representatives, as required.
• Regulatory bodies
