About the role

The Health Safety Security Environment Quality(HSSEQ) Manager is responsible for providing HSSEQ management on behalf our client who operate within the banking and finance industry. You will support the implementation of the contract specific HSSEQ management plan alongside overseeing relevant HSSEQ training, conduct major audit events and undertake informal investigations within the clientâ™s corporate and retail environment.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Structure and develop HSSEQ systems, processes, and programs across the portfolio to integrate with Cushman & Wakefield, and legislative requirements.
  • Design and control the implementation of HSSEQ systems through yearly operational plans, campaigns, training activities and general programmes.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive contractor management, monitoring and auditing system for the contract. This will include capital and FM related works.
  • Coordinate and control Business Continuity and Crisis Management Planning and its implementation, including training personnel and participants.
  • Consult and provide advice HSSEQ on major events and incidents
  • Conduct incident investigations and generate recommendations for implementation.
  • Provide HSSEQ relevant information for the procurement of contractors.
  • Consult and manage the coordination of major incidents and or events
  • Provide support on the management of risks identified in the Client portfolio and manage the governance of the Client risk register
  • Monitor HSSEQ performance of contractors and manage relationships with the client and other stakeholders for purposes of HSSEQ implementation.
  • Responsible for HSSEQ support on the clients Contract, deliver ongoing, comprehensive HSSEQ performance and compliance reporting to Cushman & Wakefield and the Client.
  • Work safely and not put themselves or anyone elseâ™s health or safety at risk by their acts or omissions.

About you

You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role and the ability to build strong lasting stakeholder relationships. Skills and experience we are seeking include:

  • Tertiary level OH&Sor equivalent qualifications.
  • 5 years♠experience in OHS/WHS & Risk role.
  • Well versed in federal and state OH&S/WHS legislation and regulation.
  • Well-developed research and report writing skills.
  • Ability to implement and enforce systems and best practices at a national level.
  • Ability to be sensitive to local issues and understand and apply local legislation.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate
  • courses of action for achieving long-range organisational goals
  • Initiative to identify and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to achieve goals
