Reports To: Head of EMEA Research with a “dotted line” to the Managing Director, Ireland

Location: 164 Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4

Job Description:

* Produce innovative research that informs clients, influences their decision making and leads to business generation opportunities for the wider Ireland business

* Provide research materials that are rigorous and relevant to business generation activities

* Help inform the Cushman & Wakefield Ireland business and influence future business initiatives

* Work in partnership with the Ireland marketing & leadership teams and create appropriate output.

* Agree the business plan, key outputs and resource needs with the role’s line managers

Role Purpose:

The Ireland Head of Research & Insight is responsible for targeted initiatives designed to position Cushman & Wakefield as a leading thought leader and consultant in Ireland. The role also encompasses the management of the Ireland Research team. The role requires working closely with each business unit in Ireland and with EMEA Research colleagues to produce a consistent market view across all property types

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Input:

* Develop and implement the Ireland Research & Insight Business Plan and articulate this to stakeholders

* Align output to the Ireland key account programme and ensure research is relevant to clients and identified business initiatives

* Make recommendations to the Head of EMEA Research and the Ireland senior management team on innovations to business practices

* Provide strategic direction to the Ireland research functions, with day-to-day operations devolved to sector heads

* Help to foster a culture of insight and innovation in the wider firm

* Work with the Ireland Business Intelligence team on aligning strategic technology projects to deliver enhanced research and reporting functionality and to drive business generation and research workflow automation

Build Relationships:

* Engage with key stakeholders across the business to determine scope of targeted research and analytical initiatives

* Work with the Head of EMEA Research to apply Ireland research initiatives to the EMEA markets, and vice versa

* Engage with clients to determine their research priorities and feed these ideas back to the Ireland senior leadership team and relevant key account managers

* Engage with wider EMEA research analysts to support thought leadership initiatives

* Work with the EMEA forecasting team to maintain an Ireland economic view and property outlook

Client Outputs:

* Support business generation by adding a research-led approach to the business teams’ commercial experience

* Implement a program of thought leadership publications

* Support the Ireland Key Client initiative.

* Engage with clients on their business strategies and articulate a view on the Ireland property market outlook

* Participate in consultancy work and business development

Company Profile:

* Engage with clients and the media, to position the firm as the authoritative source for data-driven insight

* Work with marketing and PR team to create a profile strategy

* Present at industry conferences, both internal and external

Team Management:

* Assume management responsibility for the Ireland research department

* Take responsibility for the career and talent development within the Ireland Research & Insights team

* Act as a project manager for major research projects that span multiple sectors and disciplines
