We have a fantastic opportunity within our Project & Development Services team for a recent or current graduate looking to kickstart their career. Â This role is full time and will be commencing in early 2024. You will explore all areas of our Project & Development Services business line on a 3-way rotation across Project Services, Building Consultancy and Program Management.
Due to the nature of our clients, Australian Citizenship is a requirement for this role.
Assisting senior members of the team, you will gain exposure to the following:
Project Services:
- Project & Construction management activities across multiple sectors
- Procurement of consultants, contractors and suppliers including document preparation, evaluation of submissions, draft agreements;
- Attend project meetings and support in taking minutes;
- Support the financial management of the team including raising of purchase orders, updating cost reports and draft invoices;
- Attend site inspections with the team to check progress, quality, safety, and environmental compliance; and
- Assist in client progress reporting
Program Management
- Assist in the review, prioritisation and scheduling of Department of Defence works programs;
- Attend site visits with the team and clients to identify and collate work requirements
- Be responsible for issuing of work to delivery project managers;
- Monitoring and reporting on progress with program delivery; and
- Attend meetings and support in taking minutes.
Building Consultancy:
- Attend site inspections and support inspection of properties and various types of assets for condition, code compliance and defects
- Procurement of consultants including document preparation, evaluation of submissions and drafting agreements
- Attend client meetings with the building consultancy team and support in taking minutes
- Assist in financial management including raising of purchase orders, updating cost reports and drafting invoices
- Support the team with reporting and preparation of advice documentation for clients
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A keen interest in construction, building or property.
- Completing or recently completed a relevant tertiary qualification (eg: Building Design, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Building Surveying, Interior Design, Architecture) highly desirable, or
- Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Some previous experience working in the Property Industry (eg: work experience, paid/unpaid part time role) is advantageous
