Job Description

SUMMARY: The role is a key member of the AMD client account leadership team leading the Environmental, Health, Safety strategy (EHS) and holding dotted line to the Global Occupier Services (GOS) EHS Lead. The Global EHS Manager will ensure regulatory requirements, client EHS systems, Service Level Agreements, Statements of Work, policies, and initiatives are integrated into C&W account operations. Ensures C&W has a well-designed process for EHS Governance and risk management. Serves as a lead EHS subject matter expert on: EHS management systems, technical standards, and best practices.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Collaborates with Account leadership to ensure implementation of EHS systems.
  • Reports on EHS performance to the client Global Leadership team.
  • Develops EHS strategic objectives for ensuring operational excellence.
  • Provides technical advice on EHS issues notifications of changes and governance that will impact service delivery and/or client occupancy.
  • Implements EHS technology platforms and data management tools across multiple regions.
  • Delivers best practices globally including management of change for Facilities.
  • Communicates the EHS vision to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides advisory to AMD on EHS opportunities related to Facilities Management.
  • Performs construction activity oversight and implements AMD construction EHS standards.
  • Defines the EHS responsibilities/governance of the C&W Suppliers/Contactors.
  • Collaborates with AMD to ensure regulatory/legislative/governance requirements are implemented in accordance with the client’s existing programs.

REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in EHS discipline or relevant scientific or engineering field.
  • Requires 10 + years of experience within the EHS profession.
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience managing global EHS policies, standards, programs, or procedures.
  • Experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients.
  • Understanding of global and EHS legal requirements (i.e.: Regulations, Codes, Standards, Directives, and Administrative Policies) and provide regulatory knowledge, technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to leverage office systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, etc.
  • The ability to travel (approximately 15% mostly within the US and Canada).
  • The ability to travel international 1 time annually.
  • Experience within Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) is desirable.
  • Candidates with experience in a Manufacturing setting are desirable
  • Candidates with Professional Certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM) are desirable.
