Fund Management Intern | Corporate Office
Job Summary:
The primary function of the Fund and Asset Management Intern will be to assist with asset management and reporting functions for existing and future assets. In addition, this person will work with the Operations team to gain valuable experience into our on-site operations, from company-wide initiatives to community procedures.
Essential Functions:- Assist in creating reports for joint venture partners and other stakeholders
- Measure the effectiveness of capital improvement/rehab programs
- Help to prepare, assemble, and distribute various ad hoc reports and presentations
- Help maintain and manage cash flow models for Fund properties and/or portfolio
- Mitigate risk through variance analysis and identification of unexpected trends
- Create, maintain and interpret financial data
- Reconcile and report on various asset management initiatives across the Camden portfolio
- Participate in department initiatives and special projects
- Must be a student currently enrolled in a Finance, Real Estate or Accounting program; Master’s program preferred
- Sales, customer service, and management minded individual with attention to detail is required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
- Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
