Job Description Summary

DTZ Investors are looking for a keen individual to join them as one of their Fund Accounting Managers, looking after the coordination and delivery of client finance reporting on a day to day.
This is a key role within the Asset Management sector, ensuring that strong end-to-end processes and controls are in place, together with detailed client liaison. The role will also encompass finance, commercial, and project management support for new funds, other new business initiatives, and other key business improvement programmes.
This is a perfect opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to further their career and expand their knowledge within the Real Estate financial work.

Job Description

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Review of financial reporting and development of improved financial analysis and documentation
• Ensuring full balance sheet reconciliations and controls are in place
• Co-ordination and control over VAT and other relevant tax reporting
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting tools; systems and process, and client finance team performance.
• Reviewing quarterly reporting packages and supporting schedules from third party administrators.
• Reviewing quarterly financial statements and support schedules
• Assisting in debt facility operations such as repayment, payment process, and covenant reporting.
• Supporting with year-end audit queries and tax compliance matters
• Responding and resolving queries and issues from key internal and external stakeholders
• Co-ordination of client-facing cash-flow reporting and management and ensuring payments are managed in a controlled manner
• Continuous review and improvement of processes and interfaces between Fund and Asset Services teams to ensure co-ordination of client reporting and cash flow is suitably managed
• Provide additional governance and support to Funds teams to ensure there is adequate finance management
• Provide support on business models and business propositions
• Provide a project management service where required to ensure business initiatives are well managed
• Provide on-going support to recently launched Funds across DTZ to ensure cash-flow and commitment control are well managed.

Key knowledge and experience:

• Recently qualified accountant
• Strong technical financial accounting skills.
• Experience of establishing and reviewing internal control structures, and improving business processes
• Experience of providing management accounting services with focussed and clear variance analysis.
• Good understanding of VAT.
• Experience of providing a high level of finance services to clients in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent relationship management skills, and ability to work effectively across a multi-disciplinary matrixed environment.

The successful candidate will lead a programme of continuous improvement in finance reporting and control, and play a strong commercial finance support role to the business.
