What You’ll Be Doing …

Cushman & Wakefield’s San Francisco-based Equity Debt & Structured Finance team is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to perform various forms of economic analysis, including underwriting cash flows from income properties, reading and analyzing commercial leases, loan packages and other market research. The ideal candidate will have the desire to grow in the commercial real estate industry, have a strong background in financial analysis, excellent writing skills, be self-motivated with excellent time management skills to prioritize deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.

Specific responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Underwriting cash flows from income properties.

• Analyzing physical characteristics and location attributes of properties.

• Read, analyze, understand and summarize various commercial leases and other documents and contracts.

• Produce high quality, accurate and insightful loan packages while meeting short time deadlines.

• Collect, qualify, and analyze competitive quotes from various capital sources.

• Obtain bids, engage, and manage the delivery of third-party reports from vendors such as appraisers, surveyors, and engineers.

• Interface with clients to appropriately manage the closing process with a variety of capital sources.

Qualifications You’ll Bring …

• 1-3 years of commercial real estate experience to include underwriting cash flows and knowledge of real estate valuation techniques

• Proficiency in MS Office; high proficiency in Excel

• Argus experience preferred, but not required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent planning, organization and interpersonal skills

• Strong sense of personal motivation and responsibility

• Ability to move forward on projects of your own initiative

• Ability to function in a team-oriented setting and to work well on your own

• Ability and willingness to travel and occasionally work long hours, including some weekends

• Attention to detail and ability to function under tight time frames

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently

• Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
