The Finance Manager, Finance Service Center (FSC) is responsible for oversight of our outsourced service center, acting as the billing subject matter expert for C&W Services and supervising the activities of two direct reports. While a strong understanding of billing and financial processes is needed, this role is primarily one of leadership, management and problem solving.Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Financial Services Center:
- Oversee and manage the activities of the FSC including customer master data, accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable and collections.
- Partner with FSC leadership team to ensure all procedures are fully documented and SOX compliant and that services are consistently delivered in accordance with those procedures.
- Foster strong working relationships with all FSC customers and act as first escalation contact for issue resolution. Provide timely and candid communication on statuses, problems, and timelines.
- Monitor FSC performance through metrics and feedback from internal customers.
- Create and report monthly key performance indicators to the CFO and Controller.
- Manage system access for FSC team, facilitate requests and address issues to ensure timely resolution
- Manage Operations WOM access requests
Provide project support for the identification and implementation of enhancements to systems and processes
Accounts Receivable / Billing SME:
- Ensure all AR/Billing processes are being performed according to procedure and are compliant with SOX requirements and company policy
- Manage all monthly billing close requirements. Ensure swift and effective resolution of billing issues
- Partner with AR/Billing FSC Team Lead to identify and implement process improvements
- Act as subject matter expert for all JDE AR/Billing and WOM (work order management) and primary liaison to technology team
- Manage all requests from internal and external auditors that relate to AR, Customer Master Data, and Billing
- Facilitate weekly collection review meetings with the FSC and Senior Collections Analyst and participate in biweekly AR reviews with Operations teams
- Support Finance Transformation Manager on projects requiring AR/Billing expertise
People Management:
- Manage the activities of two direct reports: Accounts Payable SME and Senior Collections Analyst.
- Provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support
- Develop and monitor goals and complete the overall annual performance management process
- Cover for direct reports when out of office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4-6+ years of experience managing AR and Billing processes
- People management experience, experience managing external resources is a plus
- JD Edwards or similar ERP experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in a SOX compliant environment and managing audit requests
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, experience with process automation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize/balance multiple tasks in a high volume, time-sensitive processing environment
Preference for this role is to be based out of our Needham, Massachusetts office 2-3 days a week. But also flexible for this role to be remote with travel expectations.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $85,000 – $100,000.
