OVERVIEW OF POSITION: With an eye for detail and a passion for people, as a Human Resources intern with Gables Residential you will work to assist our Human Resources team with improving process flow and exploring new ways to improve the employee experience at Gables Residential. Your skills and knowledge of human resources management will be used as you conduct analyses and review process improvements. As a valued member of the Human Resources team, you will gain valuable mentorship opportunities from a variety of team members and have the opportunity to develop your career in a diverse range of Human Resources areas.
Work Location:
The position is located at the Gables Residential Headquarters in Dallas, TX and will be an in office position working approximately 20-25 hours weekly for 12-16 weeks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- General HR team support (employee relations, recruitment, benefits, payroll)
- Leave of absence process review and data entry
- Analyze associate satisfaction and engagement surveys, identifying common themes and recommend action and communication plan
- Assist with COVID compliance and streamline reporting
- Assist with recruitment efforts for on site positions in the Dallas metro area
Skills/Experience:
-Current undergraduate or graduate student studying Human Resources Management, Business, or other similar field working to obtain a 2 year Associate’s Degree or 4 year Bachelors Degree.
-Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
-Strong Microsoft Office Skills
-Solid written and verbal communication
-Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
-Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
