Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Asset Services team in Sydney & Brisbane. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining building operations, optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness ensuring reliability and responsiveness to the owners, tenants requirements and statutory obligations.

You will also be responsible for:

• Performing of an Operational / Service Delivery role on an account or in a functional area.
• Roles covered include, Facilities Managers (site specialist, portfolio or regional), Workplace Managers, Portfolio Managers etc.
• Responsible for carrying out the plan from the leadership team and client at the operational level.
• Provision of effective and high-quality delivery of services to clients.
• To instruct service contractors, supervise their attendance and monitor their performance at the building and ensure that remedial action is implemented without delay.
• To conduct daily inspections of common / public areas throughout the building (toilets, lifts, lobbies, fire stairs) and all non-tenant areas (plant rooms, electrical switch-rooms, telecommunication rooms) with special attention to their cleanliness, general repair, security, and compliance with the various requirements of Building Code of Australia and other statutes.
• To liaise with the tenants daily to maintain a harmonious working relationship between the tenants and the owner.
• To ensure that all works carried out on site are in accordance with Work Health & Safety guidelines.
• To attend to and supervise the use of access control, security procedures, cleaning, maintenance, lift usage, tenants comfort conditions and public access into the buildings.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience working in a technical FM role
• Tertiary qualification in Facilities or Property related discipline is advantageous
• Strong skills with Microsoft and other packages.
• Stakeholder Management experience
• Ideally some specialist knowledge, the ability to show initiative and have self-motivation.
• Exhibit an aptitude for carrying out general duties with little day to day supervision.
• Travel/Driving involved, a drivers license is essential
