The facilities coordinators shall work under the direct supervision of the Contractor’s project manager and shall assist with all aspects of the Contract as well as provide for the management, quality control/assurance, scheduling, coordination, implementation, and control of BPA call order projects.Job Description
The facilities coordinator shall serve as a point of contact to the Building occupants and provide work status and scheduling information on alterations, moving services, and other on-going projects for building equipment systems, building operations, and work being performed by other contractors. The facilities coordinators shall work closely with facilities personnel in their efforts to schedule and coordinate work and to maintain communications with Building occupants.
The facilities coordinator shall have training or work experience in cost estimating, project management, customer service, and facilities management. They shall possess at least three years of recent experience in coordinating the activities of construction (or similar) workforces and subcontractors, and be able to read and interpret drawings of architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical content.
Facilities Coordinators should be subject matter experts in the technical aspects of the call orders they are assigned to manage. They shall have a technical understanding of the call order work they are coordinating. Their technical understanding of facilities work shall shall lead to their proposing work that provides the highest and best value, maintainability, and reliability for the facility.
For work defined by a call order, the facilities coordinators shall prepare quotations for the CO’s approval that include surveying of work sites, development of specifications, , instructions, rough drawings and sketches to outline work, engineering drawings where they are a component of subcontracted work, schedules and cost proposals as required. The facilities coordinators shall assure that proposals provide for as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and warranty information upon work completion.
The facilities coordinators shall assist the CFM Project Manager with compiling the weekly status report, which shall be provided to the Facility Manager for all call order work and other project work requiring building occupant notification
Minimum Qualifications
