Estimator

Overview:

AMLI is looking for a dynamic individual to join our development/construction team in Atlanta. We are looking for individuals that are detailed – oriented with strong organizational skills. The Estimator will Review and analyze construction bids and costs to assist in the preparation of the construction budget. Negotiate pricing and make cost effective recommendations on new construction projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Review and evaluate cost estimates* Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects* Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products* Ensure timely completion of estimates* Understand scope of work to bid* Manage bid pricing from all vendors* Prepare cost bid tab documents* Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors* Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors utilized the Procore bid module

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree in Building Sciences preferred and/or a minimum of 3 years estimating experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; experience with Microsoft Project, and other construction and business-related software is desirable.
• Minimal travel required. Employees who are required to drive for work, whether for travel between job sites, out of own travel and/or to run errands on behalf of AMLI, are required to have a valid driver’s license and carry appropriate state required insurance.
