Job Description Summary

The Energy Specialist is responsible for supporting our client’s energy and sustainability programs and helping our client achieve their ambitious environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals and targets. You will help manage and communicate energy performance by tracking, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting metrics across the client’s real estate portfolio. You will assist the project management team with energy related improvement projects, develop energy conservation measures, energy savings calculations, and facility audits.

Job Description

• Assist in the development a NetZero Roadmap for a variety of building types including offices, data centers, and retail locations
• Effective administration and analysis of energy data collection and reporting systems, processes, and procedures for our client portfolio (relating, but not limited to energy, emissions, water, waste, and social data), identifying trends and solutions to improve sustainability performance.
• Energy benchmarking sites against the portfolio and comparing to publicly available data
• Provide technical and administrative support for energy reduction projects including energy savings calculations, financial analysis of simple paybacks and ROIs and reviewing engineering documents
• Coordinate audits of energy and sustainability data
• Analyze utility rates and tariffs and apply them to ESG capital improvement projects
• Review utility renewable energy credit opportunities and energy efficiency upgrade incentives
• Participate and lead ASHRAE Level I-II energy audits including interviewing site staff and engineers, reviewing building automation systems, investigating HVAC equipment, and developing energy conservation measures
• Successful development and implementation of energy management tools for the client account.
• Continual improvement and streamlining of energy reporting systems, processes, procedures, guidance and training.
• Establishing a baseline of energy and water usage throughout the portfolio
• Ensuring 100% data completeness across all energy and water metrics.
• Evaluate and analyze energy data and trends to provide intelligence to the account team.
• Develop energy and engineering tools that provide enhanced decision-making capability to the business and project teams.
• Provide support, troubleshooting and development of enhancements to existing tools.
