Electrical Planner

Electrical PlannerJob Description Summary
This position will perform electrical work order planning and scheduling activities for recurring or break/fix unplanned maintenance activities. The Electrical Planner will input job plans, input safety tasks, provide estimated labor hours on a break/fx service ticket as example, and coordinate with end users to ensure successful completion of assigned maintenance activity.Job Description
Responsible for the initial screening of all incoming work requests and identification of proper scope.
Conduct field walks and perform job scoping to identify and document job requirements.
Identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work being planned and enter in job plan for assigned maintenance work order
Identify safety procedures, including Lock-out/tag-out procedures available to the Technicians and ensuring all aspects of safety policies are incorporated into the job plans
Estimate required hours, and skills required to perform the job for work requests.
Support various trade personnel at a facility or complex in the performance and completion of their duties as needed and assigned.
Check the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) daily for work requests assigned for planning. Work with Tech. Supervisor to prioritize work and plan work on a timely basis.
Coordinate and procure specialized tools and equipment required to perform the job
Gather necessary technical documents and specifications to write clear and concise job procedures.
Participate in creation and maintenance of playbooks, workflows, instructional documents, program templates and tools to establish electrical planning program
Perform other duties as assigned by Planning and Logistic Lead
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum 5 years related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience preferably in a commercial or industrial facility with an emphasis in facility maintenance plus experience with electrical, building equipment and building repairs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Computer and mobile smartphone knowledge is necessary. State Driver’s license required
Tool knowledge and use (Hand Tools, Measuring tools, Power tools)
Heavy emphasis on safety, PPE, lock out/tag out, and general awareness and familiarity with Safety regulations and standards of possible on site hazards.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple Work Orders (Service Requests) within an existing and operational environment.
Experience in mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance service
Excellent client relations, client management, and consultation skills required.
Proven leadership ability, administrative ability, technical background and project responsibility experience required.
Experience and ability to follow processes and maintain compliance with detailed administrative procedures.
Superior oral and written communication skills required.
Software Competency: Google Suite, Microsoft Office with emphasis on Project and Excel.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and standards
Highly organized and strong analytical skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions. Will require frequent visits to active construction sites.
