Director, Enterprise Analytics
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Other duties as assigned. Offer technical leadership and mentorship to the Enterprise Analytics development and product teams.
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies. Respond to blockers and implement improvements.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the semantic and analytics platform features. Implement new features that deliver business value.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the Enterprise Data Wearhouse. Plan and implement changes to ensure delivered solutions align with the changing environment.
- Establish and maintain row and object level security based on business requirements.
- Establish best practices and ensure solution delivery adheres to defined standards.
- Deliver enterprise owned visuals, reports, and datasets developed by the Enterprise Analytics team.
- Ensure proactive support of managed datasets and environments. Coordinate support delivery to business line analytic and dataset users.
- Follow IT Service Management standards and provide analysis of service delivery through reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor and be required to build relationships, promote best working practices and identify areas for improvement with regards to Enterprise Analytics services and tooling.
- Work closely with the analytics product team and business line analytic teams to define the roadmap of the semantic data layer.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Data team to design data solutions that support semantic and analytic required features.
- Work closely with the Data Governance Counsel to ensure the semantic layer is aligned to deliver the highest quality of data and analytics.
- Assist with the development and management of the Quality Assurance team functions.
- Assist with functional testing including reviewing and accepting or declining output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience working with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, ALM Toolkit.
- Knowledge working with SQL Server TSQL, developing stored procedures and views.
- Demonstrate proficiency in agile methodology and the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge working with advanced SQL Server TSQL stored procedures.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such SSIS, Azure Data Factory or equivalent tools. Dell Boomi is a plus.
- Superior communications and presentation skills
- Excellent meeting and conflict management skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate to cross functional leaders and senior executives internally and externally
- Self-starter with strong organizational, managerial and project management skills
- Able to design, review, and optimize technical project plans, identify critical dependencies, sequencing and risks, and drive projects to success
- Strong cross functional team leadership skills
- Ability to familiarize on technical subjects & emerging technologies and their relevance to our marketplace
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain data and analytics to team members
- Demonstrated proficiency in software such as, database management programs, analysis service programs, and data visualization tools.
- Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information
- Ability to comprehend and analyze operational system questions and issues and determine best steps in rendering solutions
Educational:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, business management information systems, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT position including data and analytics development. Azure DevOps experience is a plus. including at leaste three 3+ years specific design and architectural experience.
- Experience in the real estate investment, development, management or construction business is preferred.
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.
