Job Description Summary

Develop and manage the needed infrastructure to support consistent workflows for the client’s International Design portfolio. Clear process documentation, partner onboarding, knowledge sharing and data capture will be key focus areas as we identify and track unique regional adaptations across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solving, self-motivated and a technically proficient Architectural design process champion with demonstrated strengths in removing complexity and friction. This role requires a hands-on proactive design process manager who thrives with informed autonomy. The role will partner with our domestic change management and National Accounts teams to ensure supported restaurant operational consistency. They must remain up to date on upcoming industry norms and applicable technologies, build relationships, consult with internal partners and direct external consultants through clear communication and engagement.
The main purpose of this role is to provide and manage efficient processes to increase the capacity of the Client’s Design Lead as well as the consultant partners.

Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain familiarity with design deliverables including architectural detailing, back of house operational layouts, seating & decor plans, and overall design principles for client’s Restaurants.
  • Partner in the selection and onboarding of regional design partners and professionals responsible for execution our regional design deliverables and local adaptations.
  • Develop deliverable process, training and communication strategies in order to drive efficient consultant partner workflows.
  • Develop clear design data-capture workflows and capabilities. Drive reasonable QA/QC process and accountability for individual project locations.
  • Identify and track adaptations of typical domestic details including brand image and established design principles. Assist in development of new design adaptations as applicable
  • Regular updates, training and evaluation of consultant design partners. Periodic review of the quality of consultant deliverables.
  • Create clear workflow explanation for internal (high-level) and external (technical) communication
  • Effective coordination with domestic and corporate stakeholders
  • Direct and train architects, engineers, kitchen design partners, Design Consultants, and internal stakeholders on the client’s Brand standards, processes, and requirements.
  • Stay up to date on industry standards as well as advanced workflows and technologies that may provide the client with a competitive advantage
  • Partner with the client’s international Design Lead in managing the relationship & performance reviews of regional design partners

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A Revit-based Integrated Project Delivery mindset
  • Proven experience leading, selecting, and managing architectural, engineering, & design partners.
  • Experience in leading, applying, developing, and driving design architectural design process.
  • Proven ability for coordination with multiple disciplines (Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, Kitchen, Fire) with an understanding of constructability
  • Excellent production skills with Revit, BIM360, Adobe Photoshop, Bluebeam and InDesign
  • Proven ability to navigate & work across multiple departments, teams, and initiatives supporting a positive work environment through effective interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses a learning mindset and embraces continuous improvement
  • Process oriented with the ability to effectively train and direct teams of various skill levels and understanding
  • Strong ability to work independently with wide latitude for unreviewed action & autonomous decision making.
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, & presentations).
