Construction Intern

Our Construction Internship Program is an immersion into the multifamily construction industry, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on skills while working on Greystar’s portfolio of multimillion-dollar construction projects. As an in-house general contractor every project requires open communication, a focus on quality, and a commitment to every detail. We always operate as one team with our development counterparts, and this is felt through each of our projects.
The Greystar Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive opportunity in which interns will discover new skills and gain hands-on experience while working for the leading multifamily real estate developer, investor, owner, and operator.
Greystar interns will be exposed to all aspects of our business – development & construction, investment management, property management, and enterprise services. Through mentorship and guidance, the Greystar Intern Program expands on the classroom knowledge that you have built so far, translating your combined experience into a successful and rewarding career!
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Assist project team in management of overall site, subcontractors, and inspection of completed work.
- Project controls management, including requests for information, submittals, document management, change management and quality control.
- Participates in project planning meetings and reviews.
- Assist the preconstruction team in performing quantity take offs, developing bid packages, soliciting bids, and preparing estimates.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills to effectively track, report, and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment with a wide variety of people, including owners, architects, subcontractors, and business leaders.
- Attention to detail and focus on quality.
The base compensation rate will vary based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location, as applicable.

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their salary. Team members may also participate in the 401k plan, once eligible. Regular, full-time team members are offered a range of medical, financial, and other benefits from which to choose.
