Position Summary:Reporting to the Construction Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Construction Accountant is responsible for maintaining oversight of construction accounting processes and procedures for BH, and Leading relationship between EXO and BH related to construction accounting. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customers. Represents the company professionally and courteously.

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversees Job Cost budget inputting, maintenance and further oversight thru job completion/closure.
• Review accounting-related construction work for correctness and completeness including job cost reconciliation, supervision fees, CIP, and exception reporting.
• Direct support to our 3rd party partners, EXO Edge, aiding and assisting when needing. Also, review EXO construction accounting work and providing critical feedback.
• Mentor to staff accountants. Assisting in building up the individual s and the team s skills and knowledge in job cost accounting, policy, and processes.
• Provides mentorship to draw coordinator position for owner and/or lender draws and monitors construction cash flows and escrows.
• Assists with audit/tax requests on ad hoc basis.
• Prepares monthly review, dashing, and oversight for construction projects; including placing completed jobs in service and calculating supervision fees. Analyzes job cost data for accuracy, including compliance with accounting standards and budgetary considerations. Communicates any areas of concern to appropriate parties.
• Direct support to construction accounting initiatives. Lead projects and team members towards the goal of completing directives laid out annually for the department.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

• 4 Year degree in accounting or related field
• Must have knowledge of advanced accounting principles
• Strong MS EXCEL skills
• Excellent attention to details and organizational/multi-tasking skills
• Capability to consistently meet deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Prior Job Cost/Construction accounting experience preferred
• CPA Track candidate or Relevant JobExperience

Work Schedule:8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.

This position requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
