We are currently seeking a Commercial and Pricing Manager to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual matters related to pricing and billing services, with a focus on driving results and protecting our legal position. You will review billing functions to ensure compliance with client contracts and meet invoicing targets. Improving the speed of invoices and driving systematic change in this area will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all downstream agreements with contractors and suppliers are properly completed and that agreed rates are adhered to.

As the Commercial and Pricing Manager, you will also play a vital role in the procurement of subcontractors, ensuring target margins are achieved while properly allocating risk. You will provide advice and make recommendations to improve our financial performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Take on a key role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Thoroughly evaluate contracts with Contractors to ensure adherence to charge out rates.

• Act as a liaison and engage with Contract Managers, Regional and National Business Line Directors to establish local and national commercial practices.

• Keep CW’s ERP system updated with any relevant rate increases.

• Review all financial billing transactions to identify and address margin concerns and identify areas for increased efficiency.

• Ensure all financial billing targets are successfully met.

• Monitor and evaluate margin performance across contracts, regions, and billing personnel to achieve consistent and efficient invoice production.

• Identify and effectively manage financial and commercial risks.

• Drive business performance by identifying and analyzing trends and opportunities, recommending strategies for improved financial performance, and developing action plans to achieve business goals.

• Negotiate, advise, and secure pricing information for commercial contracts.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of three years♠experience in a similar role.

• Excellent technical knowledge.

• Client relationship building ability.

• People management experience.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Strong numerical skills.

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly desirable.
