Bookkeeper
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the management of day-to-day cash transactions, including but not limited to daily oversight of bank accounts, entering transactions into QuickBooks on a timely basis, managing payables and bi-weekly check runs, preparing wire transactions, and completing bank reconciliations.
2.Compiles and analyzes financial information in preparation for entry into various financial statements and accounting reports and makes appropriate journal entries for recording in the general ledger by checking calculations, reviewing basis for figures, and balancing and reconciling figures.
3.Perform monthly payroll processes for 4 employees, file quarterly unemployment and state withholding returns, and prepare annual W2s and 1099s.
4.Assist in maintaining tax reserve account, tracking of tax notices, compiling information for annual gift tax returns, and acting as a liaison to our external tax team as needed.
5.Assist in the compilation of insurance policies and an annual insurance review.
6.Assist in the compilation of data used in the annual budgeting process.
7.Communicates with team members, key business managers, and others to answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes for on-time reporting.
8.Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
