Assistant Resident Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Assists in the supervision of Resident Assistants (RAs) in Euclid Commons, including administrative tasks, overseeing programming, holding weekly one on one meetings with RAs, and other tasks directly related to supervising a student staff member.
2. Assists with the overall supervision of Euclid Commons. Works to support the residents of Euclid Commons, including but not limited to meeting with students regarding their concerns, serving as a support resource for students, etc.
3. Assists with coordinating resident functions with RA staff, including programming, creating a distributing flyers, and other programs to help achieve resident satisfaction goals.
4. Serves as a Conduct Hearing Officer, meets with residents regarding residence life policy violations.
5. Maintains high visibility within Euclid Commons and Cleveland State University by attending events and programs after hours.
6. Assists with the planning and implementation of Resident Assistant Training at the beginning of each semester.
7. Serves on the Professional Staff On Call Duty Rotation. Respond to after hours incidents and emergencies.
8. Responds quickly and courteously to residence concerns and questions and takes prompt action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident requests with the appropriate individual(s).
9. Assists with move in and move out process for residents, commits to working move in and move out with the understanding that these dates are mandatory work dates.
10. Must be enrolled in a Graduate program at a local university or have an interest in pursuing a career in Residence Life, Students Affairs, or a related field in Higher Education.
11. Lives onsite at Euclid Commons.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
