Job Description
An Assistant Project Manager is a revenue generating position. This will be a replacement/backfill position to the resigned APM.
The Assistant Project Manager’s key role include the following:
* Work with project team and create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities and resources needed to successfully complete the project
* Prepare Project Schedule, Project Execution Plan
* Procurement management, including coordination for various trades including preparation of Request for Proposals, Review of Bids, Recommendation, Contracts Review and Awarding of Successful Bidders
* Execute the project according to the project plan
* Develop records to document project activities
* Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secure
* Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustment as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
* Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project
* Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
* Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
* Site Coordination, Monitoring, and Supervision- ensuring all works are done as per schedule and within the budget
* Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance
* Prepare reports and supporting documentation
* Analyze risks and opportunities
* Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
* Communicate project status to all participants
* Work with the Project Team to eliminate blockers
* Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
* Issue all appropriate paperwork
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) , Architecture or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field, preferably with experience on Commercial Interior Fit Outs/Warehouse/Industrial projects
- Multi-discipline background and experience in Planning, Management, Technical & Contractual skills
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and time management skills
- Critical mind, able to make effective decisions quickly and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent in both written and verbal communication
- Result driven mentality with strong ability to meet deadlines
- Growth mindset, doesn’t shy away from new challenges
- Good work ethics and able to perform well under pressure
- Dynamic and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment
